We really wanted to focus on Black Adam and Isis’ relationship since it’s such an important part of episode 44. In the end though, the team got drawn more towards the quieter, story driven compositions. Throughout those initial sketches there were a lot of action-packed compositions and even movie poster style collages. I drew most of my inspiration from comics, but I think there’s always a healthy dose of splash art from various video games that inspire me as well. There was no specific brief so that allowed us as a team to really explore different scenarios. Henriksen explained in an exclusive interview what inspiration went into the creation of his Black Adam and Isis key art. He's worked with Dc Universe Online since July 2020 as its Senior Concept Artist, largely handling many of the 2D elements featured in the game, though he occasionally creates some of the key art.
